Currently, The Artery Group is divided into two divisions: the Land Development Group, which partners with nationally-known builders to develop new communities in the suburban Washington metropolitan area, and the Asset Group, which develops and acquires income-producing properties such as apartment and office buildings, hotels, and community shopping centers.

Artery’s reputation for the development of local landmark projects such as Artery Plaza, Democracy Plaza, Arlington Courthouse, Germantown Town Center, and Fairfax Government Center has enabled us to create and maintain strong relationships with local builders, landowners, fellow developers and governmental authorities. Our joint ventures include partnerships with large public companies such as Ryland Homes, NVR, Beazer Homes, private builders such as Clark Realty Capital, and individual landowners and investors.

Community Shopping Centers:
The Shoppes at Town Center, a dynamic 106,500 square foot Safeway anchored shopping center in Germantown, Maryland was completed in 2001 on schedule and within budget. The project, Germantown’s designated Town Center, is part of a 44-acre mixed-use site incorporating retail shops, a 328-unit apartment complex and 227 townhouse units, all designed as a neo-traditional community.

Office:
Artery Plaza is Bethesda, Maryland’s premier landmark building, developed by Artery and serving as the firm’s corporate headquarters. The design of the 282,000 square foot building is a testament to the company’s commitment to quality and excellence. Upon its completion, Artery Plaza was named ‘Most Outstanding New Office Building’ by Montgomery County and received the Maryland AIA award for architecture.

Multi-Family:
The Pinnacle is a $55 million, 328-unit garden apartment project in Germantown, Maryland, which was developed by Artery in a joint venture project with Clark Realty Capital, and was completed on schedule and within budget in 2003.
